1. What is the reason for the recall?

Michael Giordano International (MGI) has become aware that the ceramic mugs were mislabeled as microwave safe. If microwaved, the metallic print on the mug can spark, posing a fire hazard.

2. What Should I Do?

Consumers should

·       Immediately stop using the recalled ceramic mugs.

·       Register to receive a $10 check for the value of the mug.

o   Note: Consumers must have the product in their possession in order to process their refund.

·       After registration, the mug should be placed inside a garbage bag and placed on the curb for disposal.

3. Have there been any reported injuries?

No.

4. How long until I receive my refund?

Ultamate Rewards members who provided their number will have checks issued within 10 business days.

Other registrations are subject to additional verification and refund checks may take up to 21 business days to issue.

5. What if I gave this as a gift?

Please notify the gift recipient to dispose of the mug. You or the recipient may register here although only one refund will be issued.

6. Why do I have to dispose of the mug?

These products must be disposed of so we can be certain they will not pose a risk to you or others. We appreciate your cooperation.

7. How can I tell if my product is recalled?

This recall involves “Boost the Mood” 10 ounce ceramic mugs, which are navy blue with a gold metallic handle and gold lettering. The ceramic mugs were sold as part of a promotional set including socks, hand cream, and foot cream. A white round sticker on the bottom of the mug describes the mug as “microwave safe.” Other components in the promotional set are unaffected by the recall.
